DEN/DANS/DM2S (Systems and Structures Modeling Department)

DM2S develops simulation tools and methodologies for the design and the evaluation of nuclear systems.

DEN/DANS/DMN/SRMP (Service de Recherche en MĂ©tallurgie Physique)

The Service de Recherches de Métallurgie Physique (SRMP), or The Section of Physical Metallurgy, is a part of the Department of Materials for Nuclear Energy at the Nuclear Energy Division of CEA (Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique, Atomic Energy Commission).

DSM/IRAMIS/LSI/GI (Irradiation Group)

DSM/IRAMIS/LSI/GI (Irradiation Group)

The group's activity is part of the irradiation study of the influence of irradiation on the structure and properties of materials. These projects are based on throttle SIRIUS.

Platforms
The Ripault has created in 2006, particularly in partnership with the region Centre, the AlHyance innovation platform dedicated to materials for energy.

JANNUS
Jumelage d’AccĂ©lĂ©rateurs pour les Nanosciences, le NuclĂ©aire et la Simulation
The JANNuS is a multi-ion beam irradiation platform jointly managed by the "Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique" (CEA), the "Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique" (CNRS) and the "Université Paris-Sud 11" (UPS).
SIRIUS, irradiation facility
SIRIUS is an irradiation facility based on a high energy electron Pelletron accelerator from NEC, three irradiation lines (in particular the possibility to make irradiation at high current and low temperatures), and different in situ measurements during irradiation like spectroscopic methods (UV-Visible absorption, luminescence) and conductivity measurements .
SIRIUS
SOLEIL
Synchrotron SOLEIL
Both a Very Large Instrument serving the entire scientific community and a research laboratory developing its own programs, SOLEIL is an exceptional source of light over a very broad spectral range (1eV/80 keV) for the exploration of inert or living matter.
EM7 High Voltage Electron Microscope (HVEM)
The EM7 High Voltage Electron Microscope (HVEM) located at CEA Saclay has been operated since 1981.
